Maaike consults across research and strategy projects and leads on client management.

Prior to Circus, Maaike led the brand and communications function at Attest, a consumer research platform. She started her career in fashion editorial, working for Yoox and clients including Farfetch and Dunhill. She went on to gain extensive experience in the technology sector, helping several successful start-ups with their positioning and growth strategies.

A Royal College of Art graduate, Maaike also studied film at the University of Edinburgh; making short films continues to be one of her abiding passions. She has a keen interest in food journalism, restaurant culture and cooking, and spent three seasons in the Mediterranean as a professional chef on sailing yachts. After working while travelling in Europe and Southeast Asia, she is now settled in London with her partner – and their mischievous British Shorthair, Paloma.
