PLANTS

A photographic series featuring portraits of plants found in the offices of some of the world’s most iconic brands.

There is a quiet honesty to an indoor plant. Despite their perceived inconspicuousness, these small natural organisms offer a much deeper resonance. Drawing attention to and reinterpreting icons through the ubiquitous life forms of office foliage, this show turned the spotlight away from the identities we associate with high profile brands, to instead focus on the natural, human element behind them.

The result of two years of plant hunting, the series, by London based artist and photographer Polly Brown has now been compiled into a hard-bound printed book and print series.

“Polly’s very interesting study throws up many questions about the importance of plants. It is a visual conversation about the deep value and meaning of nature in the workplace, a study of our complex relationship with the idea of brand and ultimately a look into our search for happiness in a man-made world.” Sir Tim Smit, Founder of the Eden Project
